Okay, so the other day I had this weird thing I wanted to try. It’s called “dream of urinating.” Sounds kinda gross, I know, but I was curious. I’d heard some people say it can trigger lucid dreams, or at least make your dreams more vivid. I’m all about that, so I decided to give it a shot.
Getting Ready
First, I drank a TON of water before bed. Like, way more than usual. I chugged down a couple of big glasses, figuring the more, the better. I wanted to make sure I REALLY had to go when I fell asleep. I even set an alarm for the middle of the night, just in case I slept through the urge.
The Waiting Game
Falling asleep was kinda tough. My bladder felt like it was gonna explode, and I kept tossing and turning. Every time I started to drift off, I’d get this jolt of “gotta pee!” that woke me right back up. It was pretty annoying, to be honest.

Weird Dream Time
Finally, I fell asleep, and things got…interesting. I don’t remember all the details, but I do remember dreaming about bathrooms. Lots of them. Like, I was in this giant maze, and every room was a different kind of bathroom. Some were super fancy, some were totally disgusting, and some were just plain bizarre. I remember one had a toilet made of clouds, and another was underwater.
- Woke up Several Times: I kept waking up throughout the night, REALLY having to pee. Each time, I’d stumble to the bathroom, do my business, and then chug more water before going back to bed. Talk about commitment, right?
- Super Vivid, Not Lucid: The dreams were definitely more vivid than usual. The colors were brighter, the details were sharper, and everything felt more…real. But I wasn’t lucid. I didn’t realize I was dreaming, so I couldn’t control anything.
The Morning After
When I finally woke up for good, I felt…weird. I mean, I had to pee SO BAD, but also, my head was kinda foggy from all the interrupted sleep. I definitely had a lot of dreams, I remembered the toilet dreams! It was a fun thing to try.
So, would I recommend it? I don’t know. It was definitely a unique experience, and my dreams were super strange, I achieved it!. But it wasn’t exactly pleasant, and I didn’t get any lucid dreams out of it. Maybe it works better for other people, or maybe I just need to try it a few more times. For now, I think I’ll stick to regular hydration levels before bed.
