Okay, here’s my blog post about my “dream of earthquake” experience, written in a casual, personal style:
So, the other day I got this crazy idea stuck in my head: I wanted to make something, anything, that would simulate an earthquake. I don’t know, maybe I watched too many disaster movies. Anyway, I started messing around, and boy, was it a ride.
Getting Started (aka Total Confusion)
First, I googled a bunch of stuff. Like, “how to simulate earthquake” and “easy earthquake project.” Most of it was way over my head – scientific papers, complex code, the whole nine yards. I just wanted to do something simple, something I could actually understand.

I played around. no real code. more like, just imagining stuff.
The “Aha!” Moment (Sort Of)
Then it hit me. Maybe I could use…vibration! My phone vibrates, right? So there must be a way to control that. This is where things got interesting. I found out about some easy ways, and I was like, “YES! This is it!”
- Tried to make it shake, then imagined sound effects.
- Imagined flashing lights, rumbling noises.
The “It Works! (Kinda)” Phase
I finally figured out, after much struggle, some ways to make the vibration effects,It wasn’t pretty, but hey, it worked! It felt sort of like a tiny earthquake. I was pretty proud of myself, even though it was super basic.
The Aftermath (and Future Plans)
So, that’s my earthquake simulation story. It’s not perfect, it’s not fancy, but it was a fun little project. I learned a lot, even though most of it was just figuring out what not to do. Maybe next time I’ll try to add some sound effects, or maybe even try to visualize it somehow. Who knows! The important thing is, I tried something new, and I had a blast doing it.
It was a good time, messing around with this. I’m no expert, just a guy who likes to tinker. And sometimes, the simplest projects are the most rewarding.
