Okay, so I’ve been seeing vultures everywhere lately. Not just in the sky, but like, in my dreams, in random pictures, even a feather on my doorstep the other day! It felt like more than a coincidence, so I decided to dig into what the spiritual meaning of vultures could be. I mean, they’re kinda creepy birds, right? But maybe there’s more to them.
My Vulture Journey
First, I just started noticing them. Like I said, they were popping up all over the place. I’d be driving and see one circling overhead, then I’d flip through a magazine and bam, another vulture picture. It felt like the universe was shouting “VULTURE!” at me, so I figured I should listen.
My next step was hitting up the internet. I typed in “vulture spiritual meaning” and wow, there’s a lot of stuff out there. Some of it was kinda out there, but a few things kept popping up, so those were the ones I focused on.

- Purification and Cleansing: A lot of sites talked about how vultures are all about cleaning up the dead stuff. Makes sense, right? They get rid of what’s no longer needed. I thought about how that could relate to my life – what old baggage was I holding onto?
- Rebirth and Renewal: This kinda goes with the purification thing. Once the old is gone, there’s space for the new. It felt like a reminder that even after tough times, there’s always a chance to start fresh.
- Patience and Resourcefulness: Vultures are super patient. They can soar for hours waiting for the right moment. And they’re resourceful – they use what’s available to them. I definitely need to work on my patience, so that resonated.
- Protection: Some cultures see vultures as protectors, guarding against negative energy. That was an interesting idea, and it made me feel a little less creeped out by them.
After learning about this it made a lot more sense, I took some time to really think about what these messages meant for me. I journaled about it, asking myself some tough questions:
- What am I holding onto that I need to let go of?
- Where in my life am I resisting change?
- How can I be more patient and trust the process?
Then, I tried to do some meditating, focusing on letting go. Visualization, really. I imagined myself releasing old grudges, fears, and anxieties. It wasn’t easy, and I definitely didn’t become a zen master overnight, but it felt good to actively work on this stuff.
I’m still seeing vultures, but now I don’t feel freaked out. I see them as a reminder to keep working on myself, to let go of the past, and to trust that things will work out. It’s like a little nudge from the universe saying, “Hey, you’re on the right track. Keep going!”
It is not easy, but I am still working on this process and learning. I will share more as I realize, so stay tuned!
