Okay, so I’ve been seeing seals everywhere lately – like, everywhere. Not real ones, obviously, I don’t live near the ocean. But in pictures, on TV, even স্বপ্নেs! It felt like a sign, so I decided to dive in and figure out what this whole “seal spiritual meaning” thing was all about.
First, I just started noticing them. Like, really noticing. I paid attention to how they moved, how they looked, the sounds they made (mostly from videos, of course). I spent maybe a week just soaking it all in, without trying to force any meaning onto it.
Then, I started journaling. Every time I encountered a seal – even if it was just a fleeting thought – I wrote it down. Date, time, what I was doing, how I felt. I didn’t try to analyze it, just recorded the raw data. It was kind of messy at first, lots of random notes like, “Saw a seal sticker on a water bottle. Felt happy?”

- March 5th: Seal in a nature documentary. Felt calm.
- March 8th: Dreamt I was swimming with seals. Felt playful, free.
- March 10th: Saw a seal meme online. Laughed, felt lighthearted.
After a couple of weeks of this, I started to see some patterns. Mostly, the feelings associated with the seals were positive: joy, playfulness, going with the flow. That’s when I started to dig a little deeper, doing some reading, seeing what other people’s interpretations were.
It turns out; seals are associated with all kinds of good things! Some common meanings are:
- Intuition & Inner Voice.
- Following the flow of life.
- Balance of imagination & practicality.
I resonated with that, big time. I’ve been feeling a bit stuck lately, like I’m resisting the natural flow of things. So, I decided to use the seal as a kind of guide. I started asking myself, “What would the seal do?” whenever I felt unsure or anxious.
It sounds silly, maybe, but it actually helped! I started making decisions that felt more aligned with my intuition, less driven by fear or overthinking. I took some risks, small ones at first, and they actually paid off. I felt… lighter, somehow. More like I was swimming with the current instead of against it.
I’m still figuring things out, of course. This isn’t a “one-and-done” kind of thing. But paying attention to the seal, documenting my experiences, and reflecting on the patterns has definitely helped me tap into my intuition and feel more connected to, well, something bigger than myself. I even drew my own picture of seal, and looked at it time to time to remind me not to be too serious.
