Okay, so I’ve been diving deep into astrology lately, and I wanted to really understand how Jupiter in the 2nd house plays out in real life, not just in theory. So I decided to track its effects on myself.
First, I charted my own birth chart. I made sure I had the exact time and location of my birth. This is super important for accuracy.
Then, I started a journal. I wanted to record daily observations related to 2nd house themes: money, possessions, values, self-worth, talents, and resources. I didn’t just want to write about income; I wanted to capture my feelings about my stuff, how secure I felt, and any skills I was using or developing.

My Observations
- Week 1: I noticed I was feeling extra generous. I bought a friend an unexpectedly lavish gift. It felt good, but I also checked my bank account a few more times than usual that week.
- Week 2: I got a small, unexpected bonus at work! It wasn’t huge, but it felt like a direct manifestation of Jupiter’s expansive energy. I immediately started thinking about how to invest it, rather than spend it – very 2nd house.
- Week 3: This week was all about values. I had a long conversation with my partner about our financial goals and what we truly value in life. We re-evaluated some of our spending habits. It felt productive and grounding.
- Week 4: I realized I’d been undervaluing my skills. I’m pretty good at woodworking, a hobby I’d neglected. I decided to start a small side project, making wooden toys. It felt good to use my hands and create something tangible.
- Week 5: My partner and I decided to declutter our home, the idea just came out suddenly. We spent the whole weekend cleaning out closets and donating a bunch of stuff we no longer needed. The house felt lighter, and so did I.
- Week 6:I really was focusing on myself. I signed up for an online course to improve my financial literacy. Investing in my knowledge felt like a very Jupiter in the 2nd house thing to do.
It’s been a really interesting process. Tracking these things day-to-day has made me much more aware of how Jupiter’s energy influences my relationship with money, my possessions, and my sense of self-worth. It is not always about big, flashy wins, but a general sense of expansion and growth in these areas of my life.
