Okay, so today I messed around with the numbers 56 and 33. It wasn’t anything fancy, just playing around to see what I could come up with.
First, I added them together. Simple enough, right? 56 + 33 = 89. Nothing groundbreaking there.
Then, I thought, “Let’s subtract them.” So, I did 56 – 33 and got 23. Again, pretty basic stuff.

Next up, I multiplied them. This one took a little longer, but I eventually got 56 33 = 1848. I even double-checked it with a calculator, just to be sure.
Getting a Little Fancy
After that, I thought to try getting the remainder from the number.
- I first get the remainder of 56 and 33, which are 56%33 and got 23.
- Then, I swap the position and get the remainder of 33 and 56, which are 33%56 and got 33.
I felt like doing something a bit more involved, I tried to find the greatest common divisor (GCD) of 56 and 33. After a bit of thinking, I figured out it’s 1, I used the Euclidean algorithm in my head.
Finally, just for kicks, I compared the two numbers. 56 is definitely bigger than 33. No surprises there!

So, yeah, that’s how I spent a bit of my time today. Just fiddling with numbers and seeing what happens. It’s not exactly rocket science, but it’s a fun little mental exercise.
