Then, I thought, “Let’s try subtracting.” I did 53 – 42, and got 11. Again, not exactly earth-shattering, but it’s all part of the process.
Feeling a little adventurous, I decided to multiply them. 42 53… that took a little longer, ended up with 2226. My calculator app came in handy for that one.
