Okay, so today I wanted to mess around with election charts, aspects, and transits. I’ve been hearing a lot about this stuff, and figured I’d give it a shot myself. I’m no expert, just someone who likes to tinker and see what happens. Here’s how it went down:
Getting Started
First, I needed some software. I grabbed a free astrology program online. It looked pretty basic, but hey, it was free, and I’m just experimenting here.
Next, I needed an event. I decided to chart the moment I started writing this very blog post. Seemed appropriate, right? I noted down the exact time and date. Also i got my location, which the software needed for an accurate chart.

Diving into the Chart
I plugged in the time, date, and location. Boom! Up popped a circular chart with all sorts of symbols and lines. It looked like a secret code at first, gonna be honest. I felt totally lost for a minute there.
Figuring Out the Symbols
I spent some time googling what the different symbols meant. Planets, houses, zodiac signs – it was a lot to take in. Slowly, I started to get a basic grasp of what represented what. It’s like learning a new language, one symbol at a time.
- Sun: My ego? Identity? Something like that.
- Moon: Feelings, instincts – the inner me.
- Houses: Different areas of life, like career, relationships, etc.
Looking at Aspects
The lines connecting the planets are called “aspects,” I learned. These show how the planets are interacting with each other. Some lines are red and look angry (those are the “hard” aspects, I guess), while others are blue and peaceful-looking (the “easy” ones).
I saw a bunch of lines crisscrossing my chart. I tried to figure out what they meant, one by one. “This planet squares that one, so maybe there’s some tension there…” or “This planet trines that one, so that’s probably a good thing…” It was all very new and confusing, but also kind of fun.
Transits – What’s Happening Now?
Then I looked at “transits” – this shows where the planets are now compared to where they were when I started writing. It’s like seeing how the current cosmic weather is affecting my little writing project.

I noticed a few planets had moved into different houses. Some were making new aspects to my original chart planets. Again, I had to do some digging to understand what these changes might mean. Is that planet going to mess with my writing flow? Or give me a boost of energy? Who knows!
My (Very) Amateur Interpretation
After a lot of head-scratching and internet searches, I came up with a very rough, very amateur interpretation of my chart. I think it said something about being creative (yay!), but also maybe getting easily distracted (oops!). The transits suggested I might have a burst of inspiration soon, but also that I should watch out for communication mishaps. We’ll see if that actually happens!
The End Result?
To be real, I am not sure I learned anythig,
Honestly, I’m still pretty confused. But it was a fun experiment! I definitely have a new appreciation for how complicated astrology can be. It’s not just about your sun sign, that’s for sure.

I might try this again sometime, maybe with a different event. It’s a bit like trying to solve a puzzle, and I do enjoy a good puzzle. Maybe with more practice, I’ll actually be able to make some sense of these charts!
