Okay, here’s my attempt at a blog post based on your instructions.
My “The Devil: Yes or No” Experiment – A Deep Dive (and a Few Fails)
Alright folks, lemme tell you about this crazy thing I tried. Saw some stuff online about making choices by literally asking “the devil” for a yes or no answer. Sounded wild, right? I’m usually a pretty logical dude, but hey, figured I’d give it a shot for fun. Don’t judge!
So, here’s how I started. I read up on a few different methods. Some people use pendulums, some use tarot cards, others just straight-up talk into the air. I’m not about pendulums, felt too much like those cheesy spirit board things. Tarot? Nah, too much interpretation involved, I wanted a clear yes or no. So, I decided to go with the “ask and listen” approach.

First thing I did was figure out a question. Nothing too serious, y’know? Just wanted to test the waters. I was debating ordering pizza or making a sandwich. So, I cleared my head (as much as one can with a million thoughts buzzing around), closed my eyes, and said, “Okay, ‘devil,’ should I order pizza tonight?”
Now, this is where it gets weird. I didn’t hear a voice or anything. But, almost immediately, my phone buzzed with a notification. It was a pizza place offering a crazy deal. Coincidence? Maybe. But it got me thinking.
I decided to try again, but with a more specific question. I was thinking about asking my boss for a raise. Pretty big deal for me. This time, I really focused. Deep breaths, quiet room, the whole shebang. “Should I ask my boss for a raise this week?”
And…nothing. Crickets. I waited, listened, even did that little throat-clearing thing you do when you’re expecting someone to talk. Nada. So, I tried a different approach. I visualized myself asking for the raise, and then asked the question again. This time, I got this weird feeling of dread, like a pit in my stomach. Not a good sign.
Alright, so, the results were mixed, to say the least. Pizza? Seemed like a yes. Raise? Definitely felt like a no. But, here’s the thing, I think it’s all about your own subconscious. That pizza deal? Probably just good timing. That feeling about the raise? I was probably already nervous about asking, and it just amplified it.

I tried a few more times with other minor decisions. Some felt like a yes, some felt like a no. But, honestly, it started to feel like I was just projecting my own feelings onto the situation.
So, did it work? Did I actually talk to “the devil”? Probably not. But it was a fun exercise in self-reflection, and a good reminder to trust my gut. Will I do it again? Maybe, if I’m really stuck on a decision. But I’m not relying on it for any major life choices, that’s for sure. It’s mostly a joke in my friend group now. Like, “Hey, did you ask the devil if we should go to that party?”
Anyway, that’s my story. What do you guys think? Ever tried anything like this? Let me know in the comments!
