Okay, so I wanted to make some cool symbols for my lair, something unique, you know? I started by sketching out some ideas on paper. I drew a bunch of random shapes, trying to come up with something that felt both ancient and powerful. After a few tries, I had a couple of designs that I liked.
Then, I moved to my computer. I opened up a graphics editor and started recreating my sketches. I played around with different line thicknesses and colors. It took a while to get the shapes just right, making sure they looked balanced and symmetrical.
Making Them Look Old
- Adding Texture: I wanted the symbols to look like they’d been around for ages, so I added some texture. I used some brushes that made it look like the symbols were carved into stone or scratched onto metal.
- Choosing Colors: I went with some muted colors, like dark reds, deep blues, and a sort of gold that looked a bit tarnished. It really gave them that ancient feel I was going for.
After I was happy with how they looked on the screen, I decided to test them out. I printed a few of them on regular paper just to see how they would look in the real world. Seeing them printed out helped me make a few more tweaks to the designs.

Finally, I printed the final versions on some thicker, textured paper that I picked up from a craft store. It made them look even more authentic. I cut them out carefully and hung them up in my lair. They looked awesome! It really added a personal touch to the place.
It was a fun project, and I’m really happy with how the symbols turned out. It’s cool to create something from scratch and see it come to life like that.
