Okay, so I’ve been seeing this “spirit animal” thing pop up everywhere lately, and I finally decided to bite the bullet and try to figure out what mine is. I’ve always been drawn to snakes – not in a creepy way, I swear! – but more like, I find them fascinating. So, naturally, I went down the “spirit animal snake” rabbit hole.
First, I just did a simple search. Just typed it into the search bar and, boom, tons of stuff came up. So many quizzes and articles, it was kinda overwhelming, to be honest.
I started clicking around, trying to get a feel for what it all meant. I skimmed through some descriptions of different snake traits – you know, like “transformation,” “healing,” “wisdom,” all that jazz. Honestly, some of it resonated, some of it didn’t. It felt a bit general, like those horoscopes you read that could apply to anyone.

My Deep Dive
I am the one who like to record things, so I grab my notebook and my pen to write down my plan to find my spirit animal.
- Step 1: The “Official” Quiz Route. I took, like, five different online quizzes. Each quiz gave me a different result, one said I was a wolf, another said bear, and another said dear. I got a mix of results, which was kinda frustrating. I mean, how can one quiz say I’m a wolf and another say I’m a dolphin? Makes no sense!
- Step 2: Meditation and “Inner Voice” Stuff. I found this guided meditation specifically for connecting with your spirit animal. I put on some chill music, lit a candle (safety first!), and tried to follow along. To get my mind clear. The voice in the recording kept talking about “opening myself up to the universe” and “listening to my intuition.” I’m not gonna lie, I mostly just felt awkward sitting there with my eyes closed. No magical snake visions appeared, unfortunately.
- Step 3: Dream Journaling. Another thing I read was to pay attention to my dreams. Apparently, your spirit animal might show up there. So, I started keeping a dream journal next to my bed. Most of my dreams are just weird, random stuff, like showing up to work in my underwear or flying over a giant pizza. No snakes yet, though.
- Step 4: Reflect on Personal Connections. This part actually made the most sense to me. Instead of relying on quizzes or mystical experiences, I just started thinking about why I’m drawn to snakes in the first place. I realized it’s because they’re so adaptable and resilient. They shed their skin and go through these big transformations, which is something I admire. I also appreciate how they’re often misunderstood – people see them as scary, but they’re actually pretty chill most of the time. I can relate to that feeling of being judged before people really get to know you.
The “Aha!” Moment
After all that searching and soul-searching, I had a bit of an “aha!” moment. It’s not about some external force telling me what my spirit animal should be. It’s about what I connect with on a deeper level. And for me, that’s definitely the snake. Not because a quiz told me so, but because I understand and appreciate its symbolism. It’s strong and I like it, I’m gonna go with my guts.
So, yeah, that’s my spirit animal snake journey. It was a bit of a rollercoaster, but I think I finally landed in the right place. Maybe it’s not as mystical as some people make it out to be, but it feels authentic to me. And that’s all that really matters, right?
