Okay, so, the other day I was looking at my birth chart, you know, just kinda poking around, seeing what’s up. And I noticed something that I’d glossed over before: Saturn in my 6th house. I’d heard whispers about Saturn being, like, the taskmaster planet, all about restrictions and lessons. And the 6th house? That’s daily routines, work, health… all the stuff that keeps you grounded, or, you know, not grounded if it’s all out of whack.
So I started to dig in. I mean, I wasn’t expecting rainbows and unicorns, but I figured it was time to face the music, so to speak.
The Deep Dive
First, I pulled up a bunch of different astrology sites. Some were super dense and technical, others were more, uh, “woo-woo.” I tried to find a balance, something that explained things clearly without getting lost in jargon. My go to approach for that is to find articles that used my birth chart details.

I started reading about how Saturn in the 6th can manifest. Stuff like: feeling overwhelmed by daily tasks, being overly critical of your work (and yourself!), health issues related to stress, and, oh joy, difficulty finding a job that feels “right.” It was a bit… disheartening. To be honest, a lot of it resonated. I’ve definitely struggled with feeling like I’m constantly behind, like I’m never doing enough.
Putting it into Practice (or Trying To)
Knowing is one thing, doing is another. So, I decided to try a few things, based on what I’d read:
- Creating a realistic schedule. Not some crazy, packed-to-the-gills timetable, but something I could actually stick to. I started small, with just a few key tasks for each day.
- Focusing on one thing at a time. This is HARD. My brain loves to jump around. But I’m trying to be more mindful, to really concentrate on the task in front of me. Using the Pomodoro app really helped me here.
- Being kinder to myself. This might be the toughest one. I’m working on noticing when I’m being overly critical and trying to reframe those thoughts. Like, instead of “I messed that up,” I’ll try “I learned something from that.” Baby steps, right?
- Prioritizing my health. Easier said than done, but I started incorporating short walks into my day and trying to get to bed a little earlier. My fitbit keeps me accountable.
The Results (So Far)
Look, it’s not like I suddenly transformed into a super-organized, stress-free, perfectly healthy person. It’s a process. But I have noticed some small shifts. I feel a little less overwhelmed. I’m a little more productive. I’m slightly less likely to beat myself up over every little mistake. And I started a herb garden.
It’s a journey, not a destination, as they say. And this whole Saturn in the 6th house thing? It’s just one piece of the puzzle. But it’s a piece I’m paying attention to now, and I’m trying to work with it, instead of against it.
