Okay, so yesterday I was kinda bored and decided to mess around with Sabian Symbols. I’d heard about them before, you know, those weird little phrases for each degree of the zodiac? I picked a random number, 274, and decided to see what its Sabian Symbol was all about, and then, like, live it for a day.

First, I googled “Sabian Symbol 274”. Found the phrase, it was something like, “A woman reading tea leaves”. I thought, “Okay, tea leaves… kinda mystical, fortune-telling vibes, I can work with that.”
My Day of Tea Leaves (Sort Of)
- I started the day by, well, making tea. I don’t have loose leaf tea, just regular tea bags, so I ripped one open after it steeped and dumped the soggy leaves onto a plate.
- I stared at them, trying to see… something. Honestly, they just looked like wet leaves. My “fortune” was probably “you need to clean this mess up”.

- I tried to be extra observant all day. If I saw a weird pattern in the sidewalk cracks, I’d stop and think, “What could that mean?” It was kinda fun, kinda silly.
The Takeaway
At the end of the day, did I have any earth-shattering revelations? Nope. But, it did make me pay more attention to the little things. I was more present, more in the moment, trying to find meaning in the ordinary. Maybe that’s what the Sabian Symbols are really about – not predicting the future, but just encouraging you to look at the world a little differently. Or maybe it’s all just nonsense. Either way, it was a fun experiment, and I might try another random number next week!
