Okay, so the other day I got sucked into this whole “past lives and astrology” rabbit hole. I’ve always been a bit curious about astrology, and the idea of past lives? Super fascinating. So, I decided to see if there was any connection between the two, specifically looking at planetary relationships.
First, I dug out my birth chart. You know, the one that shows where all the planets were when you were born? Yeah, that thing. I’ve looked at it before for basic personality stuff, but never really for anything this… out there.
Then, I started researching. I mean, I was all over the internet, reading articles, forum posts, everything I could find about planetary aspects and past life indicators. It got pretty confusing, to be honest. There are so many different opinions and interpretations out there!

I focused on a few key things I kept seeing mentioned:
- The Nodes of the Moon: Apparently, the South Node shows your past life karma and the North Node is your destiny in this life. Makes sense, right?
- Saturn: This planet is often linked to lessons and limitations, so some people believe it can reveal challenges you faced in past lives.
- Chiron: This is a minor planet, that is said to represent our deepest wounds, and possibly, where they originated from.
- Retrograde Planets: Retrograde Planets are seen to represent unresolved issues from past lives.
After gathering all this info, I went back to my birth chart. I looked at my South Node, which is in Sagittarius. From what I read, this could mean I had past lives where I was a traveler, a teacher, or maybe even a philosopher. Kind of cool, huh?
Then I checked out my Saturn. It’s in Capricorn and makes a tough aspect (a square) to my Sun. This could suggest past life struggles with authority or maybe feeling restricted in expressing myself. Definitely something to think about.
Then I checked out my Chiron. It’s in Gemini and makes many * could suggest past life struggles with communication.
Then I checked out my Retrograde Planets. I have 3 Retrograde Planets in my birth chart. It seems there were many unresolved issues from past lives.

Honestly, it’s all pretty subjective. I mean, there’s no way to prove any of this, right? But it was a fun exercise. It got me thinking about my patterns and tendencies in this life, and how they might (or might not!) relate to these supposed past life influences.
I even tried a past life regression meditation I found online. I didn’t really “see” anything specific, but I did feel this weird sense of familiarity with certain images that popped into my head. Who knows, maybe there’s something to it?
Overall, it was a cool little experiment. I’m not sure if I’m a total believer now, but it definitely opened my mind to the possibilities. And hey, it’s always fun to explore the mysteries of the universe, even if you don’t find all the answers!
