Okay, so I wanted to do something fun and a little bit different today. I decided to work on a “number path” puzzle, the kind where you have to connect the numbers in order, from 1 to 10 in this case. I found a few of these puzzles online, printed one out, and got started.
First, I grabbed a pencil and took a good look at the puzzle. It was a grid filled with numbers all jumbled up, and my goal was to draw a continuous line, starting at 1, then going to 2, 3, and so on, all the way up to 10. It seemed simple enough at first glance, but I knew it could get tricky.
I started by locating the number 1 on the grid. Then I scanned the surrounding area to find the 2. I drew a line connecting them. So far, so good. Next, I found the 3 and connected it to the 2. I kept doing this, carefully searching for each subsequent number and extending my line.

Things got a bit more challenging as I moved through the higher numbers. Sometimes the next number would be several steps away, and I had to plan my path carefully to avoid getting stuck or crossing over my existing line. There were a few moments where I almost boxed myself in, but I managed to find a way out. That part was not easy at all.
I kept going, determined to complete the puzzle. Each time I connected a new number, I got a little rush of satisfaction. This went on for 15 minutes or so.
- Starting Point: The number 1 was usually placed somewhere in the middle of the grid, making it a good place to begin.
- Scanning Ahead: I found it helpful to not only look for the next number but also to try and spot where the subsequent numbers were located. This helped me plan my route a few steps ahead.
- Avoiding Traps: The trickiest part was to not draw myself into a corner. I had to be mindful of the path I was creating, ensuring it wouldn’t block me from reaching the remaining numbers.
Here are a few things I noted during the process:
Finally, after some careful maneuvering, I found the 10 and connected it to the 9. I had done it! I completed the number path, and it felt pretty good to see the finished line winding its way through the grid. It was a fun little brain teaser, and I enjoyed the challenge. Maybe I’ll try a more difficult one next time, perhaps with even more numbers!
I think you can get your hands on these puzzles, and try it yourself, it is quite interesting and you will have fun.
