Okay, so I wanted to try something new with my tarot deck today. I’ve been feeling a little stuck on a decision, and I thought, “Why not try a simple yes/no reading?” I’ve seen people do it with the Two of Cups, so I figured I’d give it a shot.
My Two of Cups Yes/No Experiment
First, I cleared my space. I lit a candle, not because I’m super ritualistic, but because it helps me focus. I shuffled my deck while thinking about my question. It’s something personal, so I won’t get into the details, but it’s a “Should I do this?” kind of question.
I shuffled and shuffled, and then I cut the deck into three piles, just like I usually do. Then I picked them back up and fanned the cards out face down.

Okay, here’s where the Two of Cups comes in. I closed my eyes, took a deep breath, and hovered my hand over the cards. I tried to feel for a pull, a tingle, anything. Honestly, I mostly just felt silly.
When I felt like I should, I picked a card. And guess what? It wasn’t the Two of Cups.
It is seven of pentacles.
I flipped through my little guidebook, I also checked * meaning related to my question is more of no and need wait.I thought Oh…Okay…Interesting,I should be patient.
So, did the Two of Cups yes/no thing work? Not in the way I expected! I didn’t even get the Two of Cups. But, did I get an answer? Maybe. It will depend on the *’s all a bit of fun, and a way to think things through, right?
