Alright, so yesterday I got super into this whole “power animal” thing, right? Specifically, the rat. Yeah, I know, sounds kinda weird, but hear me out.
I started off doing some digging online – you know, the usual Google-fu. I wanted to see what different cultures and traditions thought about the rat as a symbol. Found a bunch of stuff about resourcefulness, intelligence, and even a bit about adaptability. Seemed pretty cool, honestly.
Next up, I figured I’d try a meditation session focused on connecting with the rat power animal. I found a guided meditation on YouTube, lit some incense, and got comfy. The meditation walked me through visualizing a rat, focusing on its energy and traits. It was… interesting. At first, I kinda felt silly, but then I started to get a sense of this quick, alert energy.

The weird part? During the meditation, I kept getting flashes of images about needing to organize my workspace. Like, seriously declutter. I usually ignore those kinds of intuitive nudges, but this one was persistent. So, after the meditation, I actually started cleaning up my desk.
- Threw out a bunch of old papers.
- Organized my pens and pencils.
- Wiped down the whole surface.
Honestly, it felt surprisingly good! After that, I decided to take the whole “resourcefulness” thing to heart. I had been putting off dealing with a stack of bills for weeks, but I sat down and tackled them head-on. Made a budget, figured out a payment plan, and felt a HUGE weight lifted off my shoulders.
Then, to really solidify the connection, I did a little journaling. I wrote down all the qualities I admired about the rat – its adaptability, its intelligence, its ability to find solutions in tough situations. I thought about how I could apply those qualities to my own life.
It was a pretty productive day, all things considered. I’m not saying I’m suddenly gonna start hoarding cheese in my apartment, but I definitely gained a new appreciation for the rat and its symbolic power. Plus, my desk is way cleaner now!
Will I keep working with the rat power animal? Maybe. I’m still figuring this whole thing out. But it was a fun and unexpectedly helpful experiment. Who knows, maybe tomorrow I’ll try the spider!
