Okay, so I’ve been having these super vivid dreams lately, all about bookshelves. Not just any bookshelves, mind you – massive, old, wooden ones, like something out of a movie. And it got me thinking, is there some kind of, like, biblical meaning behind it? I’m not a super religious person, but I do find that kind of symbolism interesting, so I decided to do some digging.
First, I just started with good old-fashioned brainstorming. I closed my eyes and just pictured the bookshelves in my dreams. What did they feel like? They felt strong, sturdy, full of… well, knowledge, I guess. That was the obvious thing.
I wrote down some keywords:

- Books
- Shelves
- Knowledge
- Wisdom
- Stories
- History
- Secrets(?)
Then, I started, you know, actually searching stuff. I started by typing random things into a search engine.
I didn’t find anything specific about bookshelves in the Bible, not right away at least. But I did find a lot of stuff about the importance of wisdom and knowledge in the scriptures. Proverbs, for example, is practically all about that. It talks about how wisdom is more valuable than gold and jewels, how it leads to a good life, all that jazz.
My “Aha!” Moment (sort of)
So, connecting the dots here, I started to think: maybe the bookshelves in my dream aren’t literally a biblical symbol, but they represent the pursuit of knowledge and wisdom, which is a big deal in the Bible. Like, the books on the shelves could be all the lessons and teachings you need to live a righteous life, maybe?
I mean, I’m still not 100% sure what it all means. Dreams are weird, right? But this little research project did make me think. It’s like, maybe my subconscious is telling me to focus on learning and growing, to seek out wisdom in my own life. Or maybe I just need to organize my actual bookshelves. Who knows!
Anyway, that’s my little adventure into the world of dream interpretation and biblical symbolism. It was kind of fun, actually. I might start paying more attention to my dreams, see if any other interesting stuff pops up.
