Today, I messed around with this “hexagram 35” thing. Honestly, I didn’t even know what a hexagram was at first, but it sounded kinda cool, so I figured, why not?
I started by just Googling “hexagram 35.” I ended up scrolling a couple of sites, you know, the usual stuff. It seemed to have something to do with this old book called the I Ching and some kind of fortune-telling. That’s not really my thing, but whatever, I was already here.
So, I dug a little deeper. It turns out this hexagram, number 35, is called “Progress.” Each hexagram is made up of six lines, and they can be either broken or solid. This one has a solid line on the bottom, then three broken lines, another solid line, and a broken line on top.

I found a few different interpretations of what this hexagram means. Some sites talked about it being a good omen, like things are moving forward and you’re on the right path. Others were a little more complicated, saying it’s about how progress can be slow and you gotta be patient. There was even some stuff about leadership and how a good leader should be like the sun, shining down on everyone. I think that part is a little too deep for me, to be honest.
Honestly, I was mostly just clicking around and reading whatever popped up. I even found this one site where you could cast your own hexagram using virtual coins. I tried it a couple of times, but I kept getting different hexagrams. I guess my future is just that unpredictable. Or maybe I’m just really bad at virtual coin tossing.
My Takeaway
- I learned that hexagrams are a part of the I Ching, which is this super old Chinese book.
- I discovered that hexagram 35 is called “Progress” and it’s generally seen as a positive thing.
- I realized that there are a bunch of different ways to interpret these hexagrams, and it all seems pretty subjective.
- I confirmed that I’m still not really into fortune-telling, but hey, at least I learned something new today. I like learning new things!
In the end, I probably spent way too much time on this, but it was a fun little distraction. Maybe I’ll look up another hexagram tomorrow. Or maybe I’ll just watch some cat videos. We’ll see.
