Okay, so last night I had this super vivid dream, and the main thing I remember is someone braiding my hair. It felt so real, I could almost feel the tugging and the strands weaving together. It got me thinking, what if I tried to recreate that braid in real life? So, that’s what I did today.
Getting Started
First, I brushed my hair out really well. Gotta get rid of those knots, you know? In the dream, my hair felt super smooth, so I wanted to make sure it was like that in real life too. I’m no professional, so I am just going to wing it based on feeling alone.
The Braiding Process
- I divided my hair into three sections, just like you do for a regular braid. This part felt pretty normal.
- Then, I started crossing the sections over each other. Left over middle, right over middle, and so on. I tried to keep the tension even, because in the dream, the braid felt nice and tight, but not painful.
- As I braided, I focused on the feeling. I tried to remember exactly how it felt in my dream – the way the hair moved between my fingers, the slight pull on my scalp. It was kind of meditative, actually.
- I braid all the way down, then added hair elastics at the bottom to secure them.
The Result
I finished the braid and looked in the mirror. Honestly, it wasn’t anything special, just a regular three-strand braid. But the process of trying to recreate something from my dream was pretty cool. It made me feel more connected to that weird, subconscious part of my brain. It wasn’t perfect, but it was definitely a fun little experiment. I might even try different braiding styles based on dream feelings in the future.
