Okay, let’s talk about this animal totem spider thing I tried out. I kept seeing stuff online about spirit animals and how they can help you figure out your life, so I thought, why not give it a shot? I picked the spider because, well, they’re everywhere, and there’s gotta be a reason for that, right?
Getting Started
First, I tried to learn what spiders are all about, symbolically speaking. Turns out, they’re seen as symbols of creativity and patience in a lot of cultures. This got me thinking about how I could use that in my own life. I mean, I like being creative and all, and I know I have to keep working at it.
The Process
- Meditation: I started with some basic meditation. Just sat down, closed my eyes, and tried to picture a spider. It was harder than I thought! My mind kept wandering, but I kept bringing it back to the spider.
- Visualization: Then, I tried to imagine myself as a spider. Weaving a web, being patient, waiting for things to come to me. Sounds weird, but it was actually kind of calming.
- Observation: I watched some spiders in real life. Just sat there and observed how they moved, how they built their webs. It was kind of cool.
- Reflection: After each session, I’d write down my thoughts and feelings. What did I learn? How did I feel? What was I thinking about during the meditation or visualization?
What I Learned
It’s not like I suddenly became a master of creativity and patience overnight. But I did start to notice some small changes. I felt a bit more focused when I was working on creative projects. And when things got frustrating, I found myself taking a deep breath and remembering the spider’s patience.

I also realized that just like a spider builds its web one strand at a time, I need to work on my goals step by step. It’s not about getting everything done at once, it’s about the process.
Moving Forward
I’m still doing this spider thing. It’s kind of become a part of my routine now. I’m not sure if it’s really the “spider spirit” helping me or just the act of taking time to reflect and focus. But either way, it’s been a positive experience. I found it very interesting.
So, yeah, that’s my spider totem story. Maybe it’s not for everyone, but I think it’s worth trying if you’re looking for a new way to connect with yourself and maybe find a little more creativity and patience in your life.
