Alright, so yesterday I stumbled upon this “834 angel number” thing, and honestly, I was pretty skeptical at first. I mean, numbers sending messages? Sounded kinda woo-woo to me. But, I was bored, and figured, hey, why not give it a shot? Maybe there’s something to it, maybe not. Either way, it’s something different to try.
First thing I did was, of course, Google it. Got the usual stuff – “abundance,” “spiritual growth,” “trust the universe,” you know, the whole shebang. I took it all with a grain of salt, but one thing that kept popping up was the idea of taking action towards your goals. Like, don’t just sit around waiting for good things to happen, actually do something.
So, I thought about what I’ve been putting off. For ages, I’ve been wanting to learn how to bake sourdough. I mean, I’ve watched a million YouTube videos, drooled over pictures, but never actually got my hands dirty. Always had some excuse, like “no time,” or “too complicated.”

That became my mission for the day. I started researching sourdough starters. Watched some more videos. Got totally overwhelmed. There’s so much conflicting info out there! But I forced myself to just pick a method and stick with it.
The first challenge was making the starter. I mixed flour and water, left it on the counter, and waited. And waited. It was so frustrating! Nothing seemed to be happening. For a couple of days it looked like a gloopy mess. I almost gave up a couple of times. But I kept feeding it, as instructed.
Then, finally, on day four, bubbles! Tiny little bubbles, but bubbles nonetheless! I was so excited, I actually did a little dance in the kitchen. Felt like I had accomplished something real.
I kept feeding the starter for another week, and it got bigger and bubblier each day. Eventually, it doubled in size after feeding, which meant it was ready to bake with.
Okay, the bread-making process itself was a whole other level of challenge. The dough was sticky and unmanageable. I had flour everywhere. But I persisted. I followed the recipe as closely as I could, even though I felt like I was making a complete mess of it.
Then came the waiting game. Proofing the dough, shaping it, letting it rest in the fridge overnight… It felt like forever. I kept checking on it, worried I was doing something wrong.
And then, finally, baking day! I preheated the oven, scored the loaf, and popped it in. The smell that filled the kitchen while it baked was incredible.
When I pulled it out, it wasn’t perfect. It was a little lopsided, a little burnt on the bottom, and not quite as crusty as I wanted. But damn, it was my loaf of sourdough. And it tasted amazing.
Here’s the thing: I don’t know if the “834 angel number” had anything to do with it, but tackling that sourdough project felt really good. I pushed myself to learn something new, even when it was frustrating and messy. And I ended up with a delicious loaf of bread to show for it.
- Maybe it’s all just coincidence.
- Maybe there is something to these angel numbers.
Either way, I’m going to keep an open mind, and maybe try another “angel number” challenge sometime. Next time maybe 222 or 333, who knows! For now, I’m just going to enjoy my sourdough.
