So, the other day I was feeling kind of lost, you know? Like I was just going through the motions, not really sure what direction I was heading in. I decided to do some reading about animal symbolism, hoping it might spark something in me. That’s when I stumbled upon the cheetah.
Now, I’ve always admired cheetahs from afar. They’re such majestic creatures, the fastest land animals on earth. But I never really thought about them on a deeper level. As I started reading, I learned that the cheetah is often seen as a symbol of speed, focus, and adaptability. And something just clicked.
I decided I needed to get into the cheetah spirit. I started by setting really clear goals for myself, just like a cheetah focuses on its prey. I wrote them down, made a plan, and broke everything down into smaller, manageable steps.

- First thing I did? I started waking up earlier. No more hitting snooze a million times.
- Then, I dedicated the first hour of my day to working on my most important task, before getting distracted by emails or anything else.
- I also started taking short breaks throughout the day, just to move around and clear my head. Kind of like a cheetah resting between hunts, I guess.
It wasn’t easy at first. Some days I felt like just staying in bed. And other days, I got sidetracked and lost focus. But I kept reminding myself of the cheetah. How it’s so determined and doesn’t give up.
And you know what? It actually started working. I felt more productive, more in control, and more driven. It was like I had finally found my stride. I even found myself handling unexpected challenges better, just like a cheetah adapts to changing situations in the wild.
It’s still a work in progress. But embracing the cheetah’s spirit has definitely helped me to regain some much-needed direction and focus in my life. I am continuing to keep learning and growing in the spirit of cheetah.
