Okay, so I’ve been digging into this whole astrology thing, and I stumbled upon the concept of houses. Apparently, your second house is all about your possessions, your values, and how you handle money. And mine? It’s in Capricorn. So, I decided to really pay attention to how this played out in my life.
First, I took stock of what I actually own. Like, I really looked at my stuff. Clothes, books, tech gadgets… the whole shebang. I realized I had a lot of things I didn’t really need. Things I’d bought on impulse or because they were on sale.
Getting Serious About Finances
Then, I started tracking my spending. I downloaded one of those budgeting apps – you know, the ones that link to your bank account and show you where your money is going. It was a bit of a shock! So much on coffee and eating out. Way more than I thought.

- Created a budget: I set limits for different categories, like “fun money,” “groceries,” and “savings.” It felt very… Capricorn, very structured.
- Cut back on unnecessary expenses: No more impulse buys! I started asking myself, “Do I really need this? Or do I just want it?” Most of the time, it was just a want.
- Started saving: I set up automatic transfers to a savings account. Even a small amount each month started to add up.
It wasn’t easy at first. I felt restricted, like I couldn’t enjoy myself. But the more I stuck with it, the more I realized that having control over my finances actually gave me more freedom. I felt less stressed about money, and that was a huge relief.
The Value Shift
The Capricorn influence on my second house also made me think about my values. I started questioning what was truly important to me. Was it accumulating more stuff? Or was it something else?
I realized that I valued experiences more than possessions. I’d rather spend money on a trip or a concert than on another pair of shoes. That felt like a big shift. I donated a lot of old clothes. I sold old devices. Clearing out the physical clutter that I accumulated somehow also cleared out mental clutter.
It’s still a work in progress, of course. I’m not perfect. But I’m definitely more mindful of my spending habits and my values now. This whole “second house in Capricorn” thing has actually been pretty insightful.
