Okay, so, this whole “time travel dream biblical” thing? It started with a weird dream I had. I was flipping through this old, dusty Bible – you know, the kind with the gold-edged pages and that ancient book smell? And suddenly, I was in the stories. Not just watching, but like, living them.
I decided to try and, like, recreate this feeling. I know, it sounds nuts, but I was curious. First, I grabbed my own Bible. It’s not as old and fancy as the one in my dream, but it’s got some years on it.
Setting the Mood
- Dimmed the lights: I wanted that old-timey, candlelit vibe. Didn’t have any actual candles, so I just turned off most of the lights in my room.
- Got comfy: I’m talking blankets, pillows, the whole nine yards. I figured if I was going to spend time in ancient times, I might as well be comfortable.
- Opened the old book: And then just opend my bible on a random page.
Diving In
So I started reading. I picked Genesis, because, you know, beginnings. I read through the creation story, Adam and Eve, the whole deal. I tried to really picture it, you know? Like, imagine the Garden of Eden, the talking snake, all that.

And I also tried to focus and imagine that I was there. Seeing the landscape, feeling the feelings of Adam and Eve, and so on.
I spent, I don’t know, a good hour just reading and imagining. Did I actually time travel? Nope. But did I get a deeper appreciation for the stories and feel a little more connected to them? Yeah, I think so.
It was kind of like a really intense meditation session, mixed with a history lesson. I wouldn’t say I relived my dream, but it was a cool experience anyway. It made me think about these stories in a whole new way, picturing them less as words on a page and more as… well, almost like memories.
I definitely will try doing it again, to see if this feeling can get “deeper” so to speak.
