Okay, so I’ve been seeing these super cute numerology tattoos popping up all over my Pinterest feed, and I finally decided to take the plunge and get one myself! I’ve always been a little bit into the whole “numbers have power” thing, and I thought, why not make it permanent? Plus, they’re just so dainty and feminine, perfect for a little hidden ink.
First things first, I needed to figure out my life path number. I’m no expert so I just Googled “how to calculate life path number,”. Turns out, it’s pretty simple. You just add up all the digits of your birth date until you get a single number. I was born on December 22, 1993, and my number turned out to be 11. I was like, “wow!”.
Brainstorming Time!
Next up, I started brainstorming design ideas. I knew I wanted something small and subtle, probably on my wrist or maybe behind my ear. I spent hours scrolling through Instagram and Pinterest, saving anything that caught my eye. There were so many options! Some people just get the number itself, while others incorporate it into a little design, like a flower or a constellation. That is sooooo cool!

- Plain Number: Just a simple, elegant “11.” Clean and classic.
- With a Flower: Maybe a tiny rose or a lotus with the “11” worked into the petals.
- Constellation Style: I saw a few with the number incorporated into a tiny constellation, which I thought was really pretty.
Making the Decision
I was really torn between the plain number and the flower design. Finally, I decided to sketch out a few ideas myself. My drawing skills are, let’s just say, not professional, but it helped me visualize what I wanted. I ended up going with the plain “11,” but with a really delicate, fine-line font. I show the draft to my friend, and she agree with my choice.
Finding the Right Artist
Finding the right tattoo artist was a big deal. I wanted someone who specialized in fine-line work and had experience with small tattoos. I checked out some local shops’ Instagram pages and read a bunch of reviews. I finally found an artist whose style I loved, and I booked a consultation.
At the consultation, I showed her my design, we discussed the placement, and I was like, “This is it!” We scheduled the appointment, and I was so excited (and a little nervous!).
Tattoo Day!
The day of the appointment, I made sure to eat a good meal and stay hydrated. When I arrived at studio, The artist showed me the stencil, and we made a few tiny adjustments to get it perfect. Then, it was time for the needle! It didn’t hurt as much as I thought it would, more like a little scratching sensation. It was over pretty quickly since it was such a small tattoo.
The Result
I’m absolutely in love with my new tattoo! It’s exactly what I wanted: delicate, meaningful, and totally me. It’s a little reminder of my path and purpose, and it makes me smile every time I see it. If you’re thinking about getting a numerology tattoo, I say go for it! Just do your research, find an artist you trust, and choose a design that speaks to you.
