Okay, so I’ve been diving into this whole astrology thing lately, not for predicting the future or anything, but to see if it can help me understand my kids better. You know, like, why is one so stubborn and the other one a total social butterfly? So, here’s how I went about it.
Figuring Out the Basics
First, I had to get the basic info for each of my kids. This meant grabbing their:
- Birthdates – Pretty easy, I already knew those!
- Birth times – This was trickier. I had to dig out their birth certificates.
- Birthplaces – Again, birth certificates to the rescue.
Getting Their Charts Done
Once I had all that, I used an online tool, that I found online to generate their birth charts. These charts, they look like weird wheels with symbols, showed me where all the planets were when each kid was born. Honestly, it was a bit overwhelming at first.

Reading the Charts (with Help!)
I’m no astrology expert, so I used a site that helps the details to read the charts. I learned about their:
- Sun signs – This is the one everyone knows, like Leo or Virgo. It’s supposed to represent their core personality.
- Moon signs – This is about their emotions and how they react to things.
- Rising signs (Ascendant) – This is how they appear to others, their “first impression” vibe.
Plus a lot of the detail about each sign, moon, and Ascendant.
Connecting the Dots to My Kids
This is where it got interesting. I started to see how some of the astrological stuff matched up with my kids’ personalities.
- My oldest, with a Taurus Sun, is super stubborn, just like the descriptions said. They also love their comfort and routines. Yep, that’s them!
- My youngest, a Gemini Sun, is constantly chatting and asking questions. They’re also easily distracted and always on to the next thing. Classic Gemini, apparently.
- Also, my oldest, moon is Cancer, very sentive and easy-going character.
- My yougest, moon is Scorpio, tend to be a competitive spirit.
My Takeaways (So Far)
I’m not saying astrology is the only explanation for why my kids are the way they are. But it’s given me some new ways to think about their behavior. It’s like having another little piece of the puzzle.
I’m still learning, but it’s been a fun and kind of eye-opening experiment!
