Okay, so the other day I was messing around with this “aeroplane in dream” idea. I’ve always been fascinated by dreams, and the thought of flying in one just seemed super cool. So, I figured, why not try to make it happen?
Getting Started
First, I jumped into researching lucid dreaming. I figured if I could get good at controlling my dreams, then I could definitely make an airplane appear. I read a bunch of articles and watched some videos, but honestly, it all felt kinda overwhelming. Reality checks, dream journals… a lot of stuff to remember!
- Reality Checks: I started trying to do these throughout the day. Stuff like looking at my hands, trying to push my finger through my palm. The idea is, if you do it often enough in real life, you’ll do it in a dream, and realize you’re dreaming.
- Dream Journal: I grabbed a notebook and placed it by my bed. Every morning, I tried to write down anything I could remember from my dreams. It was tough at first, mostly just blurry images, but it got a little better over time.
The First Few Tries
My first few attempts at lucid dreaming were… well, let’s just say they didn’t go as planned. I’d lie in bed, repeat to myself, “I will realize I’m dreaming,” and then… nothing. Just regular, weird dreams. No airplanes, no flying, just random stuff like talking cats and giant vegetables. Seriously. One time, I had to get out of bed and went into kitchen to get a glass of water. Then I saw my mom and dad and we had some chatting, after a while, I went back to my room to sleep.

A Glimmer of Hope
But then, one night, it kinda happened! I was in some kind of bizarre market, and I suddenly remembered to look at my hands. They looked… weird. Blurry and kinda melty. I thought, “Wait a minute… am I dreaming?”
And then, it’s just starting to get fun. Then I was trying to think the word: aeroplane, aeroplane…hoping the aeroplane would magically appear in front of me, but it didn’t happen.
Still Working On It
I wouldn’t say I was fully in control, though. I tried to make an airplane appear, but it didn’t really work. I managed to sort of… float… for a bit, which was pretty cool. But it wasn’t quite the soaring-through-the-sky-in-a-jet-plane experience I was hoping for. It was more like awkwardly bouncing around. Then I woke up.
So, yeah, my “aeroplane in dream” project is still very much a work in progress. I’m going to keep practicing with the reality checks and the dream journal. It’s frustrating sometimes, but that one little bit of almost-lucid-dreaming gave me hope. I think with enough effort, I can totally make this happen. Maybe next time, I’ll actually get to fly that airplane!
