Okay, so I’ve been meaning to get into this whole tarot thing for a while now. I heard about this Thoth deck, designed by some Aleister Crowley guy, and I figured, why not? The thing is, I wanted some really good, high-resolution scans of the cards so I could really study them, you know, get a feel for the artwork and all that. So I started digging around.
First, I just did a simple Google search. You know, “Thoth tarot high resolution scan” or something like that. I found some stuff, some websites offering readings and all, but not really what I was after. I wanted the actual cards, big and clear, not some interactive reading thing. I mean, what’s the point of “instantly perform a free tarot reading” when I didn’t even know anything about the cards?
Then, I tried refining my search. I added keywords like “download” and “images” and “full deck.” Still, it was mostly just websites with small images, or those sites with the automatic readings. I saw a few that mentioned Aleister Crowley’s “Book of Thoth” but still no good scans.

So, I thought, maybe there’s a dedicated forum or something for this. I spent a good chunk of time browsing through various tarot forums and communities. There were discussions about the Thoth deck, its symbolism, how to use it for divination, and so on. People were talking about spreads, like the Golden Dawn, but not many image resources. But I did find some leads.
The Real Deal
Finally, I stumbled upon a thread where someone had the same issue. They were looking for high-res scans too! Someone in the comments shared a link, which was a bit of a pain to find as the forum didn’t make it obvious that it was a link, but I managed. It wasn’t exactly what I expected.
- It wasn’t a direct download.
- I had to kinda sign up for something, which I usually avoid, but I really wanted those scans.
- After jumping through a few hoops, I finally got access to a shared folder.
And boom! There they were. Huge, beautiful scans of each card in the Thoth deck. I mean, these things were massive. I could zoom in and see every little detail, every brushstroke, every symbol. It was exactly what I was looking for.
I downloaded the whole set. Took a while, but it was worth it. Now I’ve got these gorgeous images on my computer. I started going through them, one by one, just taking it all in. I’m planning on printing some of them out, maybe even making my own physical deck eventually. It’s a long-term project, but having these scans is a great start.
So yeah, that’s my little adventure in finding high-resolution Thoth tarot scans. It was a bit more involved than I thought it would be, but I’m pretty happy with the result. I actually learned quite a lot during the search. It’s funny how a simple search for images can lead you down a whole rabbit hole of information. Now, I have a lot of studying to do. Wish me luck!
