Had a really weird one last night. Woke up around 3 AM, heart pounding a bit. It was one of those dreams that felt way too real.
So, I dreamt about a demon. Not like in the movies with horns and a pitchfork, nothing that clear. It was more like a presence, you know? Dark, heavy, definitely felt bad. It wasn’t chasing me or anything dramatic like that. It was just… there. In the corner of a room that felt familiar but wasn’t quite my house.
The feeling was the main thing. Just this sense of dread and knowing something wasn’t right, something old and nasty was nearby. It didn’t talk, didn’t really move much in the dream, but I knew it was focused on me. It’s hard to explain properly.

Anyway, I woke up pretty abruptly. Sat bolt upright for a second. Took a few deep breaths to shake it off. You know how you have to remind yourself it wasn’t real? Did that for a minute or two.
What I did next
Didn’t turn on the lights or anything. Just lay back down. Stared at the ceiling for a while.
- Tried to piece the dream together a bit more, but it started fading fast, like they always do.
- Mostly focused on calming my breathing.
- Told myself it’s just brain garbage, you know? Random firing of synapses.
I thought about what could have triggered it. Been a bit stressed with work lately, maybe that’s it? Or maybe it was the spicy food I had for dinner. Honestly, probably just random. It’s not the first weird dream I’ve had, won’t be the last.
Didn’t bother writing it down or looking up dream meanings. Never found that stuff very helpful, personally. Seems like a waste of time trying to decode what’s essentially just noise.
Eventually, I just rolled over and tried to go back to sleep. Took a while, maybe half an hour. The feeling from the dream lingered a bit, that vague sense of unease. But eventually, I drifted off again.

Woke up this morning feeling okay, maybe a little tired. The dream feels distant now, just a weird memory. Just another night, I guess. Sometimes the brain just does strange things while you’re sleeping.
