Okay, so here’s my experience diving into this whole “release from prison astrology” thing. I gotta say, I was pretty skeptical at first, but I decided to give it a shot and see what all the hype was about.
I started by, you know, Googling around. Just trying to get a feel for what I was even supposed to be looking for. Lots of stuff about “Saturn returns” and “progressed charts” popped up, which, honestly, sounded like a foreign language to me.
I figured I needed a starting point, so I grabbed my birth chart. I already had it from some other astrology kick I was on a while back. If you don’t have yours, there are a ton of websites where you can plug in your birth date, time, and place, and it’ll spit one out for you.

Digging into the Details
Next, I started looking at the specific planets and houses that supposedly relate to, well, being stuck and then getting free. From my reading online they had to do with:
- Saturn: This dude is apparently the big boss of restrictions and limitations. Makes sense.
- 12th House: This is the “house of confinement,” which, yeah, sounds about right.
- Progressed Chart: I had to figure how to generate a “progressed chart.” It’s basically like a snapshot of your chart at a specific point in the future.
So, I pulled up my progressed chart for the date I was interested * I did a general reading online. I took it all with a grain of salt, though. This whole astrology thing can be pretty open to interpretation.
My “Findings”
For my chart there seems to be a noticable movement of one planet to a house that made a difference, also to note I had another planet there already. This was the only change so I found it interesting.
I’m still not 100% sure what to make of it all. It’s definitely interesting, and I can see how some people might find it helpful or insightful. For me, I think it was more about just having another way to think about things, another perspective.
It wasn’t like some magic “aha!” moment, but more like, “Huh, that’s a thought.”
