Okay, so, 53 15, what’s the deal with these numbers? It all started a few weeks ago when I was feeling like I was just running in circles. You know that feeling? Like you’re doing a lot but not really getting anywhere? That was me. I was working hard, taking care of things at home, but I wasn’t feeling good. I felt tired and stressed out almost all the time. It was like I was stuck and it was a real bummer.
So, I thought, there’s gotta be a better way to do this whole life thing. I started looking around for some ideas, you know, reading some stuff online, talking to friends, that sort of thing. And I stumbled upon this idea of making life a bit simpler, a bit easier. It sounded pretty good, to be honest. I figured, why not give it a shot?
The first thing I did was take a good look at what I was doing every day. I made a list. Yeah, a real list. It seemed a bit silly, but it helped. I wrote down everything, from work stuff to chores at home, to taking care of the kids, everything. Seeing it all written out was a real eye-opener. No wonder I was feeling overwhelmed!

Then, I started thinking about what was really important to me. What did I really want to spend my time and energy on? This was the hard part, you know? It’s not always easy to figure out what really matters. But I really put my head into it. I realized I wanted to spend more time with my family, do work that I actually enjoyed, and have some time for myself to just relax and do things I like. That might all seem really obvious, but once it was there in my head, I felt more sure of what I wanted.
Once I had that figured out, I started making some changes. I talked to my boss about my workload, and we found some ways to make things a bit more manageable. I started saying “no” to things that weren’t really important or that I didn’t enjoy. That was tough at first, but it got easier. I also started planning my days a bit better. Nothing too crazy, just a simple to-do list each day, focusing on the things that really mattered. I found out that prioritizing and planning will make my life easier a lot.
And you know what? It actually started to work! I started feeling less stressed, more in control. I had more time for my family, and I even started enjoying my work more. It was like a weight had been lifted off my shoulders. It wasn’t an overnight change, but it was definitely progress, and it was definitely noticeable.
So, that’s where the 53 15 comes in. 53 is the number of days I’ve been trying this new way of doing things. And 15 is the number of things I’ve actively stopped doing or changed in my life to make it easier. It’s a reminder of how far I’ve come and how much better things can be when you take the time to figure out what’s important and make some changes.
It’s still a work in progress, of course. Life’s always throwing curveballs, right? But I’m feeling a lot better about things these days. I’m learning to go with the flow a bit more, to not sweat the small stuff. And most importantly, I’m taking care of myself, making sure I have time to recharge and do things that make me happy.

- Started listing daily tasks to identify areas for improvement.
- Reflected on personal priorities and what truly matters.
- Communicated with my boss to adjust workload for better management.
- Learned to decline non-essential tasks to reduce stress.
- Implemented a daily to-do list focused on significant tasks.
So, that’s my story about 53 15. It’s not about some magic formula or anything like that. It’s just about making life a bit easier, one step at a time. And if I can do it, I bet you can too. You just gotta figure out what’s important to you and start making some changes. It’s not always easy, but it’s definitely worth it.
Keep going!
Remember to keep going, and don’t stop trying, you’ll eventually make it!
