Okay, so last night I had this super vivid dream about killer whales, and you know me, I’m always trying to figure out what these crazy dreams mean. So, I decided to do a little “dream interpretation” experiment, and I figured I’d share my process with you all.
My Dream Interpretation Process
First things first, I grabbed my phone the second I woke up. Gotta write it down before I forget all the juicy details, right? I opened my notes app and just started typing everything I could remember. It was like a flood of images and feelings.
My dream was all about being on this tiny boat, like a little dinghy, in the middle of the ocean. And all around me were these HUGE killer whales. They weren’t attacking me or anything, but they were so close, and I remember feeling this mix of awe and, like, total terror. They were breaching and splashing, and the water was so clear I could see them perfectly underwater.

Next, I hopped on my laptop. Time for some good old-fashioned internet searching. I basically just typed in “dream interpretation killer whales” and hit enter.
I skipped past all the ads, of course. I wanted to read some real thoughts. I did find some stuff, but as usual, I used my best judgment. I read about how killer whales can represent power, intuition, and even hidden emotions. Some sites talked about the importance of family and community, since orcas are super social animals. Others say killer whale can be a good sign.
- Power and Intuition: This makes sense, these animals are APEX predators.
- Family and Community: They are indeed very social animals.
- Hidden Emotions: This makes sense, because the whale in my dream, I can see them perfectly in the water.
Then, I started thinking about my own life. What’s been going on lately? What’s been stressing me out? What big decisions have I been facing? You know, trying to connect the dots between the dream symbols and my real-world experiences.
I realized that I’ve been feeling a little overwhelmed lately with a big project at work. It feels powerful and exciting, like the whales, but also a little scary and unpredictable. Maybe the dream was my subconscious telling me to tap into my own inner strength and intuition to navigate this challenge. Plus, I’ve been missing my family a lot recently, so the whole “community” aspect resonated with me, too.
Finally, I jotted down some notes in my journal. I like to keep track of my dreams and interpretations, just to see if any patterns emerge over time. It’s kind of like building my own personal dream dictionary.

So, that’s my process! It’s not exactly scientific, but it helps me make sense of my dreams and maybe even learn a little something about myself along the way. I hope you all can use my experience, I just want to share with you guys!
