Okay, so “Venus trine Saturn” was on my astro-agenda today. I’ve been trying to get better at, like, actually doing things with the transits, not just reading about them. You know, practical magic and all that.
First, I pulled up my trusty ephemeris. Needed to see exactly when this trine was happening. Turns out, it was peaking around 3 PM my time. Perfect, I had a free afternoon.
Setting the Stage
I wanted to use this transit to work on some long-term creative goals. Venus is about art, beauty, and Saturn is all about structure, discipline. See where I’m going with this?

- Cleaned my workspace. Gotta have that Saturnian order, right? No piles of random papers allowed.
- Lit a candle. Vanilla, because… Venus. And it just smells nice.
- Put on some chill music. Nothing distracting, just background vibes.
The Actual Work
I’ve been putting off outlining this novel I want to write. It’s been this big, scary thing in my head. Today, though, with Venus and Saturn holding hands in the sky, I felt… ready. I just sat down with my notebook, put on my lo-fi music, and started brainstorming.
I didn’t try to make it perfect. I just let the ideas flow. Character sketches, plot points, random bits of dialogue. It was messy, but it was something. I created a mindmap.
Then, I used to saturn part! create a rule, and put a timer on my phone, and spent the next hour just organizing those messy notes. I set up to put the main ideas into a spreadsheet, then used color-coding for different themes and characters.
The Result
By the time the trine was waning, I had a solid outline! It’s not finished, of course, but it’s a real, tangible thing now. Not just a dream floating around in my head. I actually felt… accomplished. Like I’d used the energy of the day to create something concrete.
So yeah, that’s my Venus trine Saturn experience. Pretty basic, but it worked! I’m gonna try to do this more often, actually use these transits to get stuff done. Anyone else try anything similar today?
