Okay, so I kept seeing the number 188 everywhere. On license plates, receipts, clocks… it was kinda freaking me out. I’m not usually one for “signs,” but this felt… different. So, I decided to do a little experiment.
My 188 Angel Number Experiment
First, I Googled “188 angel number” to see what the internet had to say. It seemed to be related to new beginnings, financial abundance, and manifesting desires. I’m going to level with you, I was skeptical, and I’m not the person who believe the ‘manifest’ staff, but I was also curious,so I decided to keep a note.
I grabbed a small notebook and started jotting down every time I saw 188. I also made a note of what I was doing or thinking about at the time. I committed to doing this for a full week, just to see if anything interesting happened.

- Day 1: Saw 188 on a bus ticket and while waiting in line for coffee. Was thinking about a new project idea at work.
- Day 2: 188 appeared on a grocery store receipt and on a random building number. I had been feeling stressed about money.
- Day 3: Saw it on a digital clock and on a phone number. Was daydreaming about taking a vacation.
- Day 4, 5, 6: To be honest, it appeared a couple of times, but I was not care about it very much.
- Day 7: Got 188 on my lotto ticket.(No, I did not win).
Honestly, the first few days, nothing earth-shattering happened. But I did start to notice that I was more aware of my thoughts and intentions. I also felt a little more optimistic, like I was actively looking for opportunities.
The biggest thing that did make me think, was I remembered what I Googled. So I started to focus on my career and thought about a new project that can help my team to be better.I also spent some time visualizing my financial goals, not in a “wishful thinking” way, but more like “okay, what steps can I take to get there?” way.
Did seeing 188 magically change my life? No. But did it prompt me to be more mindful and proactive? I think so. I mean, is it a good thing? I think it is!
So, that’s my 188 story. Maybe it’s all coincidence, maybe it’s something more. Either way, it was a fun little experiment that reminded me to pay attention to the world around me, also my inner * be open to new possibilities.
