My next thought was to find the difference. I subtracted 48 from 63 and got 15. “Okay, 15 is the difference, but what else could it be?” I pondered. I then tried dividing 63 by 48. I grabbed my calculator and punched in the numbers. The result was 1.3125. I thought, “Hmm, that’s an interesting number, but I’m not sure how it relates to ‘between’.”

Then it hit me! Maybe it’s about fractions! I recalled seeing somewhere that the simplest form of 48/63 is 16/21. I quickly found the greatest common divisor (GCD) of 48 and 63, which is 3. I divided both the numerator and the denominator by 3. So, 48 divided by 3 is 16, and 63 divided by 3 is 21. Voila! I got the simplified fraction 16/21.
After that, I tried to look for some patterns or sequences involving these numbers. I jotted down some prime numbers: 11, 13, 17, 19, 23, and so on. But I couldn’t find a direct connection to 48 and 63. I was scratching my head, thinking, “What am I missing here?”
I even went back to basic math, like addition and subtraction. I added 48 and 63, getting 111. I thought, “Maybe there’s something special about 111,” but it didn’t lead me anywhere. It was a bit frustrating, to be honest. I spent a good chunk of time on this, and I felt like I was going in circles.
Finally, I decided to take a step back and simplify things, because I found that I was probably overcomplicating the process. The question is simply to list the numbers in between 48 and 63. They are 49, 50, 51, 52, 53, 54, 55, 56, 57, 58, 59, 60, 61, and 62. That’s it!
In the end, I realized that the most obvious answer was right in front of me all along. The numbers between 48 and 63 are just the integers from 49 to 62. It was a good reminder that sometimes, the simplest approach is the best one. I guess I just enjoy making things a bit more complicated than they need to be!
