Today I woke up early, like 6 AM. It was still dark outside. I really wanted to try out this new thing I heard about, something called “691”. It sounded cool, so I decided to give it a shot.
First, I got out of bed and stretched a bit. Then, I went to the computer and turned it on. While it was booting up, I made some coffee. I needed that caffeine kick to get my brain going.
Getting Started
Once the computer was ready, I sat down and started to gather what I needed. I wrote down on a piece of paper the steps: 6, 9, and 1, in that order. It seemed simple enough, but I was still kinda nervous.

I started with step 6. Basically, it involved organizing some files on my computer. I had a bunch of photos that were all over the place, so I spent some time putting them into folders. It was actually pretty satisfying to see everything neat and tidy.
The Middle Part
Next up was step 9. This was a bit trickier. I had to take nine deep breaths, focusing on each one. It was supposed to help me relax and concentrate. At first, my mind kept wandering, but after a few breaths, I started to feel calmer.
- Deep breath in.
- Slow breath out.
- Repeat eight more times.
It took longer than I expected, maybe around ten minutes, but it was worth it. I felt much more focused after that.
The Final Step
Finally, it was time for step 1. This was the easiest part. I just had to write down one thing I was grateful for. I thought for a moment and wrote down “my family”. It’s true, I’m really lucky to have them.
After I finished all the steps, I felt pretty good. It was a nice way to start the day. I think I might try this “691” thing again tomorrow. It’s simple, but it made a difference in how I felt. Give it a try, you won’t regret it!

By the time I finished, the sun had come up. I looked out the window and it was a beautiful morning. I guess starting the day with a little bit of organization, mindfulness, and gratitude really does make a difference.
