Alright, today I wanna talk about this thing I did, called it “2111.” Sounds kinda techy, right? Well, it kinda was, but not in the way you might think.
So, I started out with this problem. See, I had a bunch of… stuff. Digital stuff, mostly. Think files, folders, you know, the usual. And it was a total mess. Like, a real mess. I’m talking about stuff scattered everywhere, couldn’t find anything when I needed it. It was driving me nuts!
I tried a few things first, like, just manually moving stuff around. Yeah, that didn’t last long. It was way too much work, and I’m honestly kinda lazy. Then I thought, maybe there’s some fancy software that can do this for me? Looked around, found a few options, but they were either way too complicated, or they cost an arm and a leg. No thanks!

So I was stuck. But then I had this idea. What if I just… organized it myself? I mean, like, really organized it. I’m talking about coming up with a system. A simple system.
My “2111” system was born!
Here’s how it went down:
- First, I made four main folders. Just four. Named them with numbers: 2, 1, 1, 1. Super simple, right?
- Second, I started thinking about my stuff in four categories.
- Third, I dumped everything into those four folders based on those categories. Took a while, but it was kinda therapeutic, you know? Like cleaning out your closet, but digital.
- Fourth, I cleaned out all the useless, temporary, or outdated documents in those four folders.
- Last, all that is left in the folder is what I actually want to keep.
And that was it! I called it “2111” because, well, four folders, four numbers, it just kinda made sense in my head.
The best part? It actually worked! I can find stuff now! It’s not perfect, and I still have to keep up with it, but it’s a heck of a lot better than before. It’s like, I finally tamed the digital beast, you know? I was able to find my files, and complete my work. So yeah, that’s my “2111” story. Hope you found it at least a little bit interesting. Maybe it’ll even inspire you to get your own digital life in order. Or not. No pressure!
