Okay, so the other day I was doing a reading for my friend Sarah. She’s been seeing this guy, Mark, and things seem to be going well, but she’s a bit of an overthinker, you know? She wanted to know how he truly felt about her, so we pulled out my trusty tarot deck.
I did a simple three-card spread, and guess what popped up for his feelings? The Three of Wands. Now, I’m not a professional tarot reader or anything, but I’ve been dabbling for a while, and I’ve got a pretty good handle on the basics.
First things I did, I shuffled the deck while focusing on Sarah’s question: “How does Mark feel about Sarah?” Then, I spread the cards out face down and I let Sarah to choose three cards.

- The first card which represents the past.
- The second card which represents the present.
- The last one which represents the future.
And I flipped over the cards that she choose.
The Result
When I saw the Three of Wands, I was pretty stoked. It’s a good card, a really good card in this context! It basically shows that someone is feeling confident and optimistic about the future. They’ve put in the work, made their plans, and now they’re looking ahead with anticipation.
I explained to Sarah that, based on this card, Mark is very likely feeling really good about their connection. It’s not just a fleeting infatuation; he sees potential in their relationship. It indicated that he’s committed, which means he’s not just messing around. He’s actually thinking about a future with her and taking steps to make it happen.
I told her, “Girl, this card suggests he’s feeling secure and hopeful. He’s probably already envisioning where things could go with you, and he’s actively working towards that.”
Sarah was so relieved! She’d been worried he wasn’t as serious as she was. Seeing the Three of Wands gave her the reassurance she needed. It was a beautiful moment, and it reminded me why I love messing around with tarot in the first place. It can provide so much clarity and comfort, even if it’s just a little nudge in the right direction.
